Bespoke Workshops

Françoise offers workshops tailored to your specific needs! Private one-on-one afternoons spent in her garden studio, groups of friends looking to have some creative time together, company activity events for employees— Françoise wants to share her decades worth of botanical knowledge and expertise with everyone.

  • Focus on what you wish to study most, whether it be challenging mechanics, uncommon materials, or floral business logistics.

    This mentorship model is ideal for fitting Françoise’s invaluable instruction into your available time and for tailoring the lessons to your specific needs and interests. Françoise’s open and flexible approach perfectly lends itself to a deep exploration of floristry. The Private Workshop is ideal for florists just launching their businesses or for inspiring new directions and fresh ideas in seasoned designers.

    Private Workshops are a minimum of six hours at $195/ hour per person.

  • Group workshops are prefect for team building as well as building friendships! Garden Studio workshops are designed for 6-8 people, and includes everything your group needs to have an afternoon of creative fun and exploration, including snacks and drinks.

    Each participant will design and create a piece of botanical couture or woodland botanical structure— such as headpieces, bow ties, or floral jewelry. Everyone leaves with their own unique creation.

    The standard group workshop is about 3 hours, and custom ½ day and full day workshops are available.

    If you want to capture your creations as well as each other forever, professional photography by Theresa Bear is available to add on!

  • Françoise has given presentations at garden clubs, design conferences and museums. She enjoys the opportunity to visit these esteemed programs and venues to contribute her knowledge and viewpoint through demonstrations and discussions.

    Woodland and Botanical Haute Couture are the most requested presentations. Françoise creates a detailed series of botanical mock-ups that show the mechanics, stages and steps involved in creating her signature pieces. Jewelry, headpieces and floral fabric are modeled to further demonstrate her pieces in action. There is time for extensive questions and answers throughout her presentations and follow-up workshops are often scheduled as part of her conference appearance.

  • Joining Françoise virtually on Zoom is a great way to build floral design skills from the convenience of your own home.

    Choose from the following offerings:

    • Woodland Design: bouquets, centerpieces, log arrangements, framed designs, wreaths

    • Botanical Couture: botanical purses, headpieces, jewelry, shoes

    • Wedding bouquets and other personal flowers, ceremony and reception designs

    • Flower arranging for beginners

    Details for the Zoom session:

Floral designers who wish to explore and expand on their creativity pursuits will benefit greatly by studying with Françoise. Her signature woodlands and botanical couture styles will introduce a new way of looking at materials, both fresh and hard-goods, to every designer. In each of the workshops the mechanics behind the scenes will be discussed and practiced in depth, as Françoise is known for building strong & sturdy foundations to her floral designs.

Françoise has a vast set of techniques, mechanics, and secrets to teach, but encourages you to pursue your own ideas when inspiration strikes. She works through projects with you, and assists with the intricate mechanics so that you can focus your time and efforts on exploring designs and creating multiple pieces.
